Julia Google
Google looks
funny again today, in honour of
Gaston Maurice Julia's birthday. [Feb. 3, 1893 - March 19, 1978] He's a
famous mathematician who wrote a paper concerning the iteration of a rational function. I'm not sure how this is connected to fractals, but the Julia Set fractal is named after him. He lost his
nose in the first World War and had to wear a leather mask over his face for the rest of his life.
